TagLoops is an alpha stage Flash “movie” creation tool built by Greek IT consultant Harry Vikatos. Movies are built by pointing to images, audio or RSS feeds hosted elsewhere. Those items are tagged inside TagLoop where they can be reordered and layered over each other. The end result is a multi layered multimedia Flash movie. Those movies can also be remixed by other TagLoop users. It’s really interesting to me that TagLoops works with things as ephemeral as tags, feeds and URLs and ends up letting users create a tangible multimedia presentation. (via)

Home-brewed, 100 proof podcast with your host Joseph Matheny. In it you will find a delectable blend of original musics, audiobook and drama excerpts, interviews with artists and media theorists of the fringe, and hints of strawberry and motor oil. TagLoops lets you create ‘web movies’. Web movies are made of URLs to media files anywhere on the web, placed in layered timelines. This way you either combine visuals or remix audio (MP3). Video is coming.
A web movie is really a set of meta-data (could be an XML). The fact that I am using a flash app as a player should not confuse you into thinking you actually produce a swf. Anyone want to build a player in Ajax get in touch!
Thanks for the write-up. Harry

Thanks for the clarification Harry. Glad to send some traffic in your direction, since a lot of our readers are DIY audio/video/text heads.
